  • laureate of many national and international double bass competitions
  • cooperates with many leading Czech ensembles, Czech and foreign composers (J. Matys, M. Štědroň, F. Emmert, T. Osborne)
  • performs as a soloist with several symphonic orchestras (Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, and many others), gives double bass recitals in Europe, China and the USA
  • teacher of numerous master classes around the world, jury member of international competitions
  • founder of the Czech Society of Double Bassists, founder and artisitc leader of the Brno Double Bass Orchestra
  • has made a great number of radio, television and CD recordings
  • at present, he is a professor at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and a guest professor at the Karol Lipiński Akademia Muzyczna in Wroclaw (Poland), a honourable professor at the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing

Tuition description

The international music master classes are focused not only for solo repertoire, but also for competition and audition repertoire, inclusing orchestral excerpts. Less experienced participants can  develop the bow technique and finger technique of the left hand. All participants can perform at public concerts. A double bass orchestra will be consisted of interested active and passive participants and will perform during the master class week.
